The Scientific Council is the scientific guidance body of IHMT. The Scientific Council (CC) is the scientific guidance organ IHMT. It consists of a maximum of 25 members, representatives of teachers, researchers and of the Institute R&D center.
It is incumbent upon the Scientific Council:
a) to implement the outlines of organizing and guiding the scientific and academic activities of IHMT, as well as to monitor the development of such activities;
b) to actively follow-up teachers and researchers career development, in all its multiple dimensions;
c) to carry out the evaluation of the scientific merit of teachers and researchers, particularly regarding the allocation of incentives for research;
d) to propose to the Council of the Institute the creation of study programs and approving their curricula;
e) to propose to the Director the hiring and employment of teaching staff, researchers and senior technicians attached to the teaching and research activities, as well as the renewal or termination of the respective contract terms;
f) to propose or pronounce on the establishment of agreements and national and international partnerships.
