The IHMT research strategy is currently consolidated in the FCT R&D center GHTM – Global Health and Tropical Medicine.
The GHTM is based on two thematic lines of research :
- Health challenges of travelers and migrants
- Emerging diseases and environmental changes
These lines bring together three research groups:
- Vector-borne diseases and pathogens (VBD)
- TB, HIV and opportunistic diseases and pathogens (THOP)
- Population health, policies and services (PPS)
