Disasters, Public Health and Humanitarian Aid: current trends

She is a Medical Doctor specializing in Public Health in a local department at Almada-Seixal, in Lisbon Area. In 2016 she graduated from an international master in Public Health in Disasters to which she was awarded with a scholarship by the European Union. This master course took place at the University of Oviedo and at the Karolinska Institutet, and had many lecturers and partners from key global public health and humanitarian organizations. Within this programme she also went to Mumbai where she developed her research on human stampedes. She is currently collaborating with the National Center for Public Health Emergencies at the Directorate-General for Health in Lisbon, Portugal.
