Professor of IHMT and President of ERS makes a balance of the mandate in an interview with Diário de Notícias newspaper and talks about human resources
In an interview with Diário de Notícias, Jorge Simões talks about the issue of human resources for health, noting that it constitutes the area with “greater financial burden in global health spending” and, therefore, it is necessary to start “a serious and thoughtful discussion about the tasks of various professions. We have to rethink them in light of what the health priorities are”.
In a balance of its mandate ahead of the ERS (Portuguese Health Regulation Authority), the Professor of IHMT says that it was “intense” and priority was given “to transparency, response to all that is requested by the government and parliament. We have set up a council advisory composed of representatives of users, health professionals and establishments”.
