The primary mission of IHMT is to contribute to knowledge in the field of Tropical Diseases and Global Health, including the translation of this knowledge to society.
IHMT provides an A to Z Glossary, constantly updated, which presents information on the major tropical diseases and other global health diseases relevant in tropical and inter-tropical environment (such as, for example, the TB and Infection by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus).
In addition to the Glossary, the IHMT “opens the doors” of its Museum and discloses the historical collection of the Institute, related with the combat of tropical diseases. IHMT also has a specialized library, open to all interested parties.
In the Video Gallery we also made available videos with interviews or news stories about the activity of the Institute.
