As a teaching, research and cooperation institution that also provides services to the community, IHMT holds a valuable expertise to conduct specialized training to health professionals in different fields of knowledge. Our pedagogical motto is: we teach what we investigate, and we investigate to teach.
We intend to implement the European Education Programme, initiated by the Bologna Process, aimed at building a European Higher Education Area – cohesive, competitive and attractive to European teachers and students, as well as to countries outside Europe, in partnership with the Portuguese-speaking world represented by the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries – CPLP.
Within the spirit of the Legal Regime of the Portuguese Higher Education Institutions, the pedagogical guidelines and methods of IHMT’s teaching activities remain as competencies assigned to the Pedagogical Council.
