A investigação de Andreia Wendt procura aprofundar a compreensão dos mecanismos complexos que caracterizam as interações entre hospedeiro, agente patogénico e vetor nas infeções por Leishmania e, em última análise, gerar conhecimentos fundamentais que contribuam para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de controlo e para a erradicação das leishmanioses.
